How To Get Going & Build A Splash Page
So here we go, I am going to talk you through getting started with your first splash page.
When you first log in you will be in the affiliate only members area,
From here you will need to decide what level membership you require (Gold or Silver) Please note: members who bought the GOLD OTO will already be upgraded. To upgrade click on the upgrade link in the members top menu. (You cant make splash pages as a free member)
Once upgraded you will get to your members are (we are showing the gold members area here)
from here you can click on 'Make Splash Pages' This will show you the Make/Edit your splash or squeeze page section.(The one below has a list of pages alreadymade. If your here for first time you will not have any listed)
Firstly you need to locate the big link in blue that says 'Click here to create a new splash page' Click on that link and it will update the page to a large table with options in. You can use this to create your page or go through the step by step wizard.
I recommend the step by step wizard for first time use.
Click the link that says 'Click here to use our splash page wizard for step by step splash page making' This will open the wizard and show you step 1 of 31 steps to creating your page.
You will see the page instruction and a preview of what the page will look like so far. Under that will be the boxes to fill in. If you read each step ie number 1 is 'First lets choose a name for the splash page that your about to create. This will be used as the title that appears in the bar at the top of the window' All you need to do here is type your title (example Steves splash page) Once you have completed this click continue.
The wizard will now take you to step 2, simply follow the instruction again and click continue. If you want to go back one step you can at any time but keep going until you have completed all 31 steps.
When you have clicked on continue after 31 steps it will display the 'Thats it page'. At the bottom it will show the following text 'The URL you need to advertise this splash page is:' (it will then display the URL something like: http://splashpagemaker.com/splash/?rid=2&id=228) You can copy and paste this URL into the add sites section of any tarffic exchange.
If you then click 'Back To Your Splash Pages Main Page' it will take you back to the Make/Edit your splash pages page.
Here you will see it say 'So far you have created 1 splash pages' (or how ever many you already have) This is now your menu for your splash pages. You can click on the 'Click here to create a new splash page' link again to create a new one or use the list to edit/view/detete your existing ones.
View an existing page by clicking 'open in new window' This will open a new window and show you the page as it will be seen by others. (The same as if you were to open a new browser window and enter the URL it gave you for the page)
You can delete one of your sites by clicking 'delete' but once its gone its gone.
Or to edit a page it will say 'Splash 1 of 3 [click to edit]' (or 1 of 10 if you are a gold member) When you have clicked on that it will show you the URL of that page. (Its a good idea to copy and paste your URL's in a notepad file and save it to your computer or write them down) It will also show you a preview of what the page looks like, then the big table for editing sections.
If you wish to change any of the steps in the wizard for example you do not like the background color, no problem just find that step in the table and click on the new color that you want then click the 'save' button at the bottom. Its important that you click 'save' after every step. You will be able to see as you go what the page is looking like as the things you change will update in the preview each time you click save.
There you have it your own fully hosted page with a URL to save and add to any traffic exchange.
If you wish to save time you can edit your page using the form at the bottom of the edit page as shown below. You can use this also to make a new splash page instead of going through the wizzard
So you can now go ahead and make those pages.
